41 y/o woman, 5’5″, 108 lbs., 2 children. 12 weeks after high-lateral, high-superior tension abdominoplasty. The patient had a very high umbilicus and long waist. The challenge was to place the scar correctly low, hidden in the bikini line. This was achieved with no need to leave a residual scar from the umbilical donor site.
Case 2 Patient Age: 43, 3 children Patient Height: 5’0”, 110 lbs lbs. Post Op Photo taken at: 4 months. The scar is well-hidden under the low-cut underwear. Liposuction of the abdomen and flank has reduced the waistline. Many women are concerned that they will have an unnatural looking belly button, too round, in the [...]
Case 3 43 years old, three children. This patient demonstrates the tremendous power of surgical closure of the gap between the rectus (sit-up) muscles to restore a youthful and athletic contour tothe abdomen, even after severe stretching.. The belly button in this patient is oriented vertically.
Case 4 The main changes in this patient are removing the lower abdominal skin excess. Note the disappearance of the tattoo. Also, the mild bulging is corrected. Tightening of the rectus muscle separation is helpful for almost all patients. Relaxation of the abdominal wall occurs with childbirth and aging. The results of the repair enhance [...]
Case 5 One thing you will notice after many tummy tucks is how much better the posture is. The internal support of the relaxed abdominal wall is like an internal girdle. It corrects the excess lower back curvature and pelvic tilt. Some of my patients who have had back aches report an immediate improvement after [...]
Case 6 There are now ways of improving the residual stretch marks with the Palomar Lux 1540 erbium laser. This is the first FDA-approved laser for stretch marks. Most of the stretch marks are removed with the tummy tuck, because most are at or below the belly button, and this skin is removed. For a [...]
Case 7 Abdominoplasty, high-lateral tension, Vaser liposuction waist and flanks. Breast Augmentation and Tummy Tuck combined Patient Age: 36 Patient Height: 5’2” Patient Weight: 124 Implant: Moderate profile gel Placement: Submuscular Incision: periareolar Post Op Photo taken at: 2 months -Estimate Cup Size Change A to C -Dual-plane augmentation to give a lift without mastopexy; [...]
Case 8 This patient shows the evolution of the abdominoplasty scar at four years. Many women fear having a bad scar, and this fear prevents them from having the procedure. As you can see, when the tension is relieved with sutures in the deep layer, the skin heals with minimal tension, allowing the scar to [...]
Case 9 3 months after high lateral and high superior tension abdominoplasty with liposuction of the abdomen and waist. Liposuction is a very important component of most abdominoplasties to reveal the underlying figure.
Case 10 Only six weeks after combined breast augmentation and lipo-abdominoplasty with vaser ultrasonic liposuction to the entire abdomen, waist and flank. The scar is well hidden, low in the bikini line. The umbilicus is placed at the proper height to look normal. A common problem seen in tummy tucks is the scar too high [...]
Case 11 Six months after vaser ultrasonic liposuction, breast augmentation and high lateral tension abdominoplasty. A striking improvement in posture is noted as tightening the abdominal wall internally improves the curve of the lower back.
46 year old woman, 5’8″, 175 lbs, four children, after 75 lbs weight loss. 38 C- bra size. Six months after high-lateral tension abdominoplasty, vaser ultrasonic liposuction of the abdomen, waist, flanks. Breast augmentation, dual-plane, partial submuscular with moderate profile gel 265 cc implants.
42 year old woman, 5’3″. 138 lbs, three children, 36 B bra size, with breast asymmetry, left larger than right. 4 months after high-lateral tension abdominoplasty, vaser ultrasonic liposuction of abdomen, waist, flanks. Breast augmentation with moderate profile gel implants, 286 cc on the left and 304 on the right.
47 year old woman, 5’5″, 149 lbs, three children, with marked skeletal asymmetry and pelvic tilt. The prominence of the abdomen is influenced by the curvature of the lumbar spine. Two months post-op. With this degree of abdominal prominence it is difficult and probably unrealistic to expect as flat an abdomen as seen in patients [...]
30 year-old patient 3 weeks post tummy tuck and 330 cc saline to 400 cc gel re-augmentation. Note low placement of the incision allowing patient to wear a bikini. The belly button is placed normally at an aesthetically-pleasing distance above the incision. The belly button is small, and vertical, without excess skin visible.
Case 1 Abdominoplasty, high-lateral tension; Vaser lipoplasty inner and outer thighs, waist, flanks; Breast augmentation done at the same time, 285 SR, IM, PSP
