Liposuction of Neck and Jawline with Suture Suspension
Excess fat in the neck is removed with liposuction or direct excision through a small incision under the chin. Better neck and mandibular border definition is obtained by the use of a suspension suture anchored in the fascia behind the ear and in the midline under the chin. The suture acts as a sling to pull in the lax neck muscle and reinforce the midline muscle repair. Appropriate tension applied to the suture provides definition and keeps it from being felt by the patient after surgery.
