Dear Dr. Lowen,
I wanted to take a moment to thank you and your staff for what has been a very pleasant and painless experience for me with my recent breast augmentation surgery.
Your office staff has been extremely helpful and supportive, and I have appreciated your painstaking attention to detail and your perfectionism.
I was nervous before the surgery itself, due to many unsolicited comments I'd received from acquaintances who'd had breast augmentations in the past. However, I was pleasantly surprised with how gentle your process was, and how quickly I healed. I had my surgery on a Thursday morning, and had intended to return to work the following Monday. I received an emergency call from work on Friday morning, and had to make a 60 mile commute on Friday afternoon, and work for six hours that day. I felt amazingly well, and had no problems at all working that afternoon. In fact, I never did have to take the pain medication you prescribed - just OTC ibuprofen handled the minor discomfort, and I only had to take it for the first 2 days. Only the day after my surgery, I was back at work and also taking care of my two young children with no trouble at all!
Your office staff has been extremely helpful and supportive, and I have appreciated your painstaking attention to detail and your perfectionism.
I will gladly recommend your practice to friends and family, and will certainly be a returning client!
Thanks for your professionalism,
C.B.

Anyone who is considering breast augmentation should definitely see Dr. Lowen. There were many fine plastic surgeons in my area to choose from, but I had heard so many positive things about Dr. Lowen from others who traveled from out of town that I also decided to make the journey for my surgery. Now that I have gone through it, it was definitely the right decision!
The morning of my surgery, I was very nervous, but was reassured when several of the nurses at the surgery center volunteered the information that Dr. Lowen is a perfectionist, with a reputation for sometimes taking longer in surgery until he has it absolutely perfect. They said "he's definitely the one you want."
My surgery was a breeze. When I awoke, I was surprised that I wasn't wrapped all up in bandages - just steri-strips where the incisions were. I went home and rested that day and evening, woke the next morning and was able to move around quite easily, took a shower and washed my hair. (Dr. Lowen said this would be OK) By that evening, I was feeling great and was actually bored from laying around the house, so we went out to dinner! Then I went to a luncheon on Sunday afternoon and was back to work on Monday. I couldn't believe it... I had been told by so many people to expect to be in a lot of pain and out of commission for at least a week or more. I also didn't have to wear any sort of a funky "strap" for a month to keep the implants from "riding too high". I asked Dr. Lowen why this was, and he said if the implants are placed correctly there is no need to do this.
I love my new look - Dr. Lowen really listened to my requests and achieved exactly what I wanted. And, I honestly believe my experience and results would have been different had I not gone to Dr. Lowen. He really is a perfectionist - just ask any of the nurses at the surgery center.

Dear Dr. Lowen,
It's been only 10 days since you performed my abdominoplasty and breast augmentation surgery and I already feel compelled to extend to you a testimonial and my deepest and sincerest "Thanks!" I feel like the luckiest person on earth to have found such an experienced, skilled, and professional cosmetic surgeon. Thanks to you, I have sailed through this recovery period and already feel like a new person! This has been a life changing event for me.
I'm 41 years old with three children and have always maintained my weight to within 10 lbs of what I consider my normal weight. The last five years of my life I have considered myself as fit as I have ever been; I work out in the gym and have become an avid mountain bike rider, road biker, runner, skier, hiker, etc. Regardless of how fit I felt, I'd had a very poor self body image due to my extensive abdominal stretch marks, excess lower abdominal skin, and sagging breasts. I'd grown tired of hiding in the locker rooms, wearing baggy clothes, and feeling overly self-conscious in front of my husband. I felt most deserving of looking as good outside as I felt inside.
I'd considered this surgery for several years, but had been scared due to the extensive nature of abdominoplasty, the long recovery, and the fact that I'd never experienced general anesthesia before. Additionally, I'd read many stories on the internet concerning long, painful recoveries and disappointment. And then to think that I was going to throw in breast augmentation on top of the abdominoplasty! Nevertheless, I researched as much as I could and consulted with four local surgeons. I selected you based on your experience, qualifications, and most of all, a woman's intuition. I could tell that you were a perfectionist, detail-oriented surgeon, compassionate about achieving excellent results, and had an excellent understanding of the human form.
Did I ever make one of the most excellent decisions of my life! My recovery has been far easier than I expected and I can't wait for summer to arrive. I don't know how you managed to minimize the trauma to my body during such an extensive operation, but I had no bruising whatsoever and virtually no pain after day two of post-op. I would consider the first week uncomfortable, but not painful. It's mind boggling to me that I was able to quit taking pain meds only two days after the surgery. I feel so great that I'm ready to get back on my bike (but that would be against doctor's orders, so I write this letter instead).
I'd also like to thank your staff for their constant care and professionalism. Never did I feel like I was vain and shallow, but instead that I had a medical condition as valid as any. They have all been caring, friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive. I also appreciate the efficiency of the scheduling, to this day I have never sat in the waiting room. I'm always whisked away and seen immediately. I'm very pleased with all of the post-op care from you and your staff.
I recall a Michelangelo quote where he described his ability to sculpt because he could see the beautiful human figure within the marble block; all he had to do was chip away the excess. Dr Lowen, I consider you a modern day artist and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for delicately chipping away at my excess and exposing the beauty beneath. I can't wait to experience life with my new body that I have always deserved.
My deepest gratitude and sincerest thanks,
Alison Jensen

I feel like screaming this off the rooftops! I had the most incredible recovery from my breast augmentation procedure and I owe it all to my surgeon, Dr. Lowen in Mountain View, California.
Thank you Nicole for this website and for your referral to him! I, of course, had discomfort after surgery and I was stiff, but I kept expecting it to be painful and it wasn't! I was picked up from the surgery center by a friend, I walked to the car with no problem, no pain, just feeling a little tight in the chest. When I arrived home, I was greeted by my husband and three small children. My husband took a look at me and thought I backed out of the procedure - he couldn't believe I was walking around feeling no pain. I actually sat and had a cup of tea with him and told him about the whole experience. I slept for most of that day.
The next day, I was back into my routine, holding my six-month-old, cooking, cleaning, taking showers, etc. Dr. Lowen is an incredibly talented surgeon. I had minimal to no swelling, no bruising or bleeding, no drainage tubes, no visible stitches (just surgical tape over the incision - the stitches are self absorbing)- I was able to see my breasts immediately after surgery. I didn't have to wear any special bras. Yes, I was stiff and moved cautiously the first couple of days - I compare it to the way I felt when my milk came in after the birth of my children - that tight feeling when you get engorged with milk. But let me tell you, breast augmentation surgery with Dr. Lowen was a "cake walk" compared to breast feeding!
I just had my two week post-op appointment and I asked Dr. Lowen why I had no pain - why was my recovery so easy? He showed me some of the state-of-the-art instruments he uses that not many doctors are using now. He tries to be as gentle as possible, trying to minimize any trauma to your breast tissue and chest. Well, what ever he does, it works! After reading all the stories of people's painful recoveries, I urge you to seek out Dr. Lowen. I would have flown across the United States to see him. Thank you Nicole for the referral and linking me to his website. I will be submitting my whole story with pictures soon. I am so happy with my new breasts - what an ego boost! My husband loves them too!

Dear Dr. Lowen,
I was very uncomfortable with the way my clothing fit my abdomen area. In fact, I would have to buy clothes one size larger to camouflage my puffy abdomen. Thanks to your tummy tuck technique, my abdomen is flatter than when I was 18 years old.
Thanks Dr. Lowen,

Dear Dr. Lowen,
Three months ago, I entered your office and found out who held the keys to the "fountain of youth." It was you Dr. Lowen.
I am a 61-year-old woman who came to your office with a face and neck severely damaged by sun and wrinkled from age.
I was a bit apprehensive about having cosmetic surgery but after two informational consultations and much discussion about my expectations, I felt perfectly at ease.
As I said, three months ago I stepped into your office, and now I look at my face and neck and see the rejuvenation that has taken place. I am a 61-year-old woman that now looks in her late 40's, all because of your "magic hands."
Thank you Dr. Lowen,
Gail Rosen
