36 year- old woman 5’4”, 155 lbs., three children, three months after a drainless tummy tuck. The goal of the umbilical reconstruction is to have a vertical orientation, slightly oval with an overhanging hood. This is difficult to accomplish and appears to have come out well in this case. I try to limit the vertical length of the umbilicus to make it more natural, and use a small superior skin flap to tuck under and help create the overhanging hood.
