Abdominoplasty Photos - Case #5209

Patient Case #5209

36 year-old woman, 4’11”, 2 children, 158 lbs., BMI 33, 15 days after drainless tummy tuck, along with vaser-assisted liposuction of abdomen, waist, and flanks. The flap was re-attached to the abdomen with progressive tension and quilting sutures, eliminating all the space where fluid could accumulate. Therefore, no drains were necessary, and none were used. Exparel was used for pain control as a local injection under the abdominal fascia during the procedure. Exparel is a long-acting anesthetic form of bupivacaine that lasts for up to 72 hours.
