41 year-old woman, 5’6”, 166 lbs., 3 months post drainless tummy tuck with SAFE lipo of waist and flanks. The patient received Exparel injected under the abdominal fascia during surgery for extended pain relief post-op, decreasing her need for narcotic pain meds. The abdominal flap was re-attached to the abdominal wall with progressive tension and quilting sutures so no drains were needed.

Seven weeks after surgery she was T-boned from the side by a car going 45 mph, her car flipped and ended up hanging from her seat belt from the ceiling.
