Abdominoplasty Photos - Case #4608

Patient Case #4608

This 47 year old woman, 5’5″, 138 lbs., 3 children, was concerned about laxity of her abdominal wall, excess skin and excess fat of her waist and flanks.

She had vaser-assisted liposuction of the abdomen, waist and flanks and drainless tummy tuck. This allowed her a more rapid and comfortable recovery. Exparel long-acting anesthetic was injected under the abdominal fascia during the procedure. So with no pain pump catheters or drains, she was able to be up and around sooner. No drains were needed and none were used because the abdominal flap was re-attached with progressive-tension and quilting sutures. Another characteristic of my tummy tucks is a scar that is hidden low in the bikini line. The mild redness and reaction around the umbilicus is treated with Lux 1540 scar laser in my practice at no cost. This helps soften firm scars and prevents further hypertrophy.
