Minimal Incision and Power-assisted Liposuction Removal of Lipomas
Lipomas of any size can be removed through a small incision either directly or with the assistance of power-assisted liposuction to debulk the lipoma and then remove it completely under direct vision using the technique of dissection and extrusion.
Smaller lipomas can be removed with a small incision made with a #11 blade only, basically a puncture with a small angulated blade that makes an opening about 3/8”. Lipomas between 5 and 12 cm (2.5” to 5”) in diameter, can be removed with an incision less than an inch.
For those patients troubled with forehead lipomas, these can be removed endoscopically with an invisible incision behind the hairline. There will be no scar on the forehead.

25 years ago I noticed my first lipoma. Unfortunately, many more grew on my body. There were times I would look in the mirror and cry, and I started to lose confidence, having all these lumps in my body. I went to numerous doctors for advice, all of whom told me I was out of luck because to removing them would result in large scars. Somehow I found Dr. Lowen when doing hours of research on the Internet. I flew to town to meet him and learned he had a completely different attitude approach for lipoma removal. That was six years ago. 32 lumps removed in one day, with scars that are nearly invisible. Every doctor I have met since are in complete disbelief about these results. Needless to say, I went back to Dr. Lowen yesterday and he removed 50!!! Ten hours he worked because he cares about his patients and about the quality of his work. I am truly thankful to Dr. Lowen for helping me when others couldn’t or wouldn’t!
